It is a great pleasure for me to take charge of GMC Kathua as the Principal. At GMC Kathua, our aim is to produce medical professionals of the highest caliber, who can succeed at the topmost levels not only in the country, but in the world. We teach students to become fully formed individuals who can handle the immense responsibility of being a medical professional as well as the social responsibility, and contribute to nation building.
The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, in 2017, conceived the idea of starting a batch of five new medical colleges across the state to strengthen the already existing medical colleges to make the state’s health care systems at par with the premier health care institutions across the country.
